Event Description
THE AUD COLLECTIVE PRESENTS
SOUP, STEW & SEASON ONE | A Communal Gathering
Pull up a chair. Grab a bowl. We've got something to share.
AUD Collective invites you to an afternoon of soup, stew, and chili as we gather our community and reveal what's ahead for our first official production season.
ABOUT THE GATHERING
This isn't a gala. This isn't a fundraiser. This is a table.
AUD was born out of mutual aid, the belief that a community is strongest when it feeds itself. On February 22, we're going back to that root. A warm room, a warm bowl, and a first look at the audacious season we've been building.
You'll hear directly from founder and Executive Director Cleavon Meabon, IV about where AUD has been, where we're going, and how you can be part of it. You'll meet the people behind the work. And you'll be among the first to know what's coming.
WHY FEBRUARY 22
On February 22, 1865, Tennessee became one of the first states to emancipate its enslaved people—months before the 13th Amendment. 161 years later, we gather in that same spirit. Community around a table. Nourishment for the body and the soul. A room full of people choosing to build something together.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A communal meal of homemade soups, stews, and chili prepared with love. A brief program revealing AUD's 2026–2027 season. A chance to meet the AUDSQUAD, our advisory board, and your fellow supporters. Early access to season subscriptions and membership. Good company, good food, and something worth being excited about.
BRING YOUR PEOPLE
This is a gathering, not a performance. Bring your partner, your friend, your neighbor, your mama. If they're curious about AUD, this is the perfect introduction. If they already know us, this is the next chapter.
AUD Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre collective based in downtown Memphis. For questions, contact connect@theaudcollective.org.
Come hungry. Leave full.
